The Santa Barbara Choral Society has completed two international tours to date. The first tour took singers and travel companions to Budapest, Prague and Vienna in 2005, and in 2007, the Society went to Italy and Bavaria. On each tour the group performed in spectacular venues, including St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. A Tour Committee will soon be determining the destination for another tour to be scheduled during its 2010/11 season. Stay tuned!
Non-singers are always welcome accompany SBCS on tour. In 2007, 14 young singers received scholarships to be able to travel with the Society, and it is hoped that SBCS will be able to make scholarships again available to deserving and talented students, as part of its mission to help young singers gain valuable performing experience.
